2019 Montrose and Forfar Triathlons
6 Jan 2019: Tri Angus Ltd are delighted to announce that entries for the 2019 Montrose and Forfar Triathlons will open on Monday, 14th January 2019. The Montrose Triathlon will take place on Sunday, 2 June 2019, followed by the Forfar Triathlon on Sunday, 21 July 2019.

Based on previous years entries, both events are expected to sell out quickly so would be participants are encouraged to sign up early to avoid disappointment. A waiting list will be in operation for both events so anyone who misses out is encouraged to add their name to the waiting list as there are a number of withdrawals in the lead up to the event.
The charity partner for both events will again be Tayside Mountain Rescue (TMR). All TMR Team members are volunteers, often risking their own lives to help others. The Team rely on donations to pay for the tools and equipment they need to do their job, and this is where your donations go. Participants at the 2018 Montrose and Forfar Triathlon events raised an impressive £4300 for the charity and we hope to better this in 2019. Tayside Mountain Rescue will again be providing first aid cover at both events so participants and volunteers are in very safe hands!
No portion of the entry fee goes to TMR. Participants will have the chance to donate at the point of sign up, as well as making a donation on the day. There are also a small number of Tayside Mountain Rescue charity places available for both the 2019 Montrose and Forfar Triathlon events. Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis by emailing via the Contact Us form.
By agreeing to represent Tayside Mountain Rescue you are agreeing to:
- Trying to raise £100 or more for them. In return there will be no entry fee to pay and TMR with provide you with a sponsorship form.
- Tri Angus Limited sharing your registration details with Tayside Mountain Rescue.
The above conditions are in addition to the event T’s & C’s which you agree to when you sign up for the event.
