19 May 2014:  Tri Angus is delighted to announce that Genesis is the latest business to back the Montrose Triathlon.

Genesis, who specialises in providing end-to-end solutions for all aspects of the oil and gas industry, comes on board as an event sponsor for the triathlon which takes place on Sunday, 1 June 2014.  The financial support Genesis is providing not only allows Tri Angus to deliver what is hoped to be an exceptional event but also means they will be able to support the development of local clubs and triathlon initiatives.

Maggie Lawrie, Tri Angus Executive Director commented “I am thrilled that Genesis have come on board as an event sponsor.  Their support really will make a huge difference to our event.  Participant experience is so important to us and this allows us to invest in a few areas to ensure we offer the best event we can.

“Being a social enterprise we are also looking to support the development of the sport of triathlon locally.  Without the backing of companies like Genesis we would not be in a position to do this so their support really is important.”

The event is now full however Tri Angus are encouraging people to come down and support the participants on the day.  The first swimmers will be in the pool at approximately 11am and should be on the bike route approx 30 minutes later.  Volunteer opportunities are available too, please contact us for more information.!
